Foundation.

Reflecting on what is known or naturalised allows us to rethink and deconstruct our view of the world around us. Only a state of profound disconnection could lead society to the climate crisis we are experiencing, and only a cultural change can make us return to the axis to balance our lives and our way of relating to the environment.

Expected contribution.

Promote active reflection about humanity's relationship with the natural environment, provide tools that allow us to understand different paradigms that have marked this relationship from a critical and constructive point of view.

Methodological strategy and teaching resources.

Education going through the ICT era is in constant transformation. In this sense, it is essential to rethink the way of approaching content to build capabilities in accordance with the real and specific training needs of people.

Thus, the training strategy planned by Warm Argentina Civil Association aims to:

Yo. Provide a basic conceptual framework that promotes critical thinking;

ii. Show the interconnection between environmental, social, political, economic and cultural themes and problems, favoring systemic thinking;

iii. Raise environmental awareness and provide practical resources to inspire climate action;

iv. Promote feedback and joint construction of knowledge between the people who participate and the teaching staff who provide the training.

These four objectives are present in all the in-person and virtual training offerings provided by the organization. To achieve them, following Ayala (2014) cited by Camacho Zúñiga et al (2010), a learning process is promoted whose principles are:

Interactivity: Warm Argentina Civil Association encourages people to be protagonists of their own learning process. Basic theoretical tools are provided to become familiar with the topic and the conceptual framework, but the search for content, the combination of didactic resources and the deepening of content at the discretion of the recipient is promoted. In this sense, the organization carefully selects and permanently develops different tools that allow the fluid exchange of information, experiences and feedback and joint construction of knowledge.

Multimedia: In both face-to-face and virtual actions, materials and activities in multimedia format are always used. There is a repository of resources in multiple formats such as documents, books, technical sheets in digital format, presentations, images, animations, videos, audios, among others. 

Permanent update: The environmental issue is an imminent issue in full development, which implies permanent action to build knowledge, update resources and tools. The construction of pieces in multiple formats (video pills, podcasts, multimedia resources, documents, etc.) favors the protagonism of the person in training and also facilitates the task of the teaching staff to implement these changes, favoring an agile and flexible based on parts that are easily updated and interchangeable with each other.

Synchronous and asynchronous: The training offer has virtual online activities (synchronous), such as videoconferences and also resources on the virtual platform to be consumed in an asynchronous modality, adapted to the needs, schedules and possibilities of people. (videos, activities, toolbox, podcast).

Easy access and management of materials and activities: there is a web platform Courses where the entire training offer is centralized and a virtual classroom where, by creating a username and password, you can access the asynchronous virtual training resources. 

Follow-up: All people participating in our training activities must complete a registration form. This allows us to know our audience before starting and, if possible, a meeting (in-person or virtual) is also requested to adjust content and adjust expectations. Likewise, once the experience is finished, an assessment survey is requested to be completed and, if people are willing, follow-up activities are also proposed to support the learning process and accompany the implementation of climate action after the training in each area.

The teaching resources used are small pills in multimedia format (videos and podcast) for the delivery of theoretical content and conceptual framework. The approach strategy seeks to convey key messages that promote critical thinking and interest in continuing to delve deeper in the recipient. The training pills are accompanied by a toolbox with varied resources such as: documents and presentations, technical sheets with summarized information, a link tree, with access to educational resources (articles, web pages of interest, videos, legal framework, testimonials, etc.).

Likewise, access is offered to collaborative resources such as whiteboards to add reflections, questions and interact through this means with other people who have also completed the training in question.

Modality.

The modality offered in Ley Yolanda training is virtual asynchronous. At the request of the parties, special content-deepening workshops can be held virtually, synchronously and in person. People can choose to take the course up to the basic level (module 1 to 5) or also incorporate module 6, 7 and 8 which qualifies as an advanced level.
